Are you sufficiently prepared for a tsunami? How would you enhance preparedness? During an event, how do you expect to receive tsunami warnings? How would you increase the effectiveness of warnings? During an event, what decisions do you expect to make? Would you evacuate your vessel offshore? Why or why not? What recovery issues are you concerned about? What additional information do you need to help you make decisions before, during and after a tsunami? The Panelists will discuss the background on tsunamis and historical impacts on the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. They will also discuss the SAFRRA tsunami scenario and maritime tsunami response playbooks plus maritime tsunami planning and preparedness.
